Yangon, the largest city in Myanmar is now promoting to eat more on poultry products, meat and eggs.
Last week Myanmar Livestock Federation held a promotion event in well-known People’s Park to help poultry farmers. This week they organize the promotion event on week end at Yangon’s popular shopping center, the Junction Square.
The promotion event took two days from 26 to 27 August attended by Chief Minister of Yangon Region Government, U Phyo Min Thein and parties to give moral support for the poultry farmers.
The Chief Minister said he and his family use to eat chicken and eggs three to four times a week and there is no relation between H1N1 and eating poultry products. He also said that H5N1 in under control by the LBVD and official and no need to worry for the outbreak.
The event was organized by the Myanmar Livestock Federation and supported by the local and international poultry related business such as farms, feed and equipment. In the event, 6 shops of eggs, 6 shops of chicken meat and 2 fried chicken shop participated and interest games and quiz for the visitors lead by the celebrities. The venue was sponsored by the Shwe Taung Group, the owner of the shopping center.
